Membership Membership is open to boys and girls under who become ordinary
members until 18 years and associate members from 18 to 21 years. Members subscribe a fee
to their local Branch each year and this constitutes membership of the Club as a whole and
includes 3rd party insurance. Branch information: There are 364 Branches in the UK and 1925 Branches overseas. Each branch covers a specified area and runs according to the Rules of The Pony Club. A Breif History The Pony Club is an international voluntary youth organisation for those interested in ponies and riding. It was founded in England in 1929 and is now represented in 15 countries and has a membership exceeding 102,000 worldwide. The Uk Pony Club was granted independent charitable status on 1st January 1997. It is the largest association of riders in the World. A majority of the most successful riders in all disciplines of British equestrian competition have been members of The Pony Club. The Pony Clubs objectives are:
THE PONY CLUB The affairs of The Pony Club are
managed by The Pony Club Council with Headquarters at the NAC, Stoneleigh Park,
Kenilworth, Warwickshire. CV8 2LR Test Certificates: Members are encouraged to take an
interest in their work and improve their knowledge by working towards certificates awarded
by The Pony Club, of which there are eight graded standards starting with the 'D' Test and
culminating with the highly regarded 'A' Test, taken when a member is around 19 or 20
years old. A Road Safety Test is part of the C Test Certificate. |

The Euro Pony Club: The British Pony Club was a founder member of the Euro Pony Club. Formed in 1990 it has fifteen member nations. Its aims are to promote exchange visits between members of the various countries thereby creating friendship and a wider understanding of the individual cultures, languages and background. |
